The relations of the Bush administration with this sector are somewhat different than that of other presidents, but not much. All are committed to the same basic objectives of global contro

  • Avatar Donnie What are some really cool things to see and do in Central Florida besides DisneyWorld and Universal Studios?
Apr 23, 2010 by Donnie | Posted in Orlando

I'm taking a vacation with my girlfriend in Florida in June and we're looking for fun things to do besides Disney and Universal. We'll be in Orlando for a bit, also Safety Harbor and the surrounding area, like St. Pete, Tampa, and Lakeland. We're even considering going to the Keys. If anyone has any cool ideas for places to go or things to see that aren't what the regular tourists do, please let me know! Thanks!

    • Busch Gardens! VERY fun rides and attractions!

There is also good shopping in Orlando... Nordstrom etc.

    • I'm so excited for you - we just got back and I can't wait to go again. Here are my top tips:

      1. Roughly plan your days. You're going at a busy time of year so you want to optimise your time by visiting the …main queue or at the 'pub' part which is to the right.

My website is aimed at British visitors to Walt Disney World, so you can find more tips there - don't worry it doesn't sell anything, it's just advice:

  • Avatar Amethyst Rancher Which recreation tourism areas of the US have good economic stability now or in the near future?

We are considering relocating ourselves & biz which are well adapted to such areas: highdef video production, guide services, etc. We are in AZ, not interested in Colorado or winter sports. We know photography, video prospecting & nature expeditions well. What areas best for 60 year old disabled veteran & wife?

    • You can come to Wisconsin. My ancestors came here more than a hundred years ago and hasn't left the state since (though I'm itching to leave) There are plenty of photography opportunities. Nature is also a very big thing … thinking of moving down to Florida. The economy here is great. Weather-wise, we don't have extreme weather and you can go for a stroll or shopping in a tornadoe since it's just stronger wind but nothing major. Good luck!

I'm doing a study guide for a final coming up in History, and I need help explaining this :D

    • First of all there was a 'flight to the suburbs'. Nobody wanted to live in cities anymore, so every city quickly became surrounded by a wide ring of suburbs. There was a huge construction boom in the 1950s, and tract hous …nomy developed in some places (California, Florida, etc.) Drive-in movies flourished. Young people went on dates in cars, often it was the only place they could be alone together, and unwed pregnancies rose precipitously.
