Airport arrivals for those choosing Naples as a destination in the Work Experience USA should be the Miami International Airport, located 160km away. Naples has an airport, but it is very small and there are regular flights operated by airlines.
Miami to Naples there are two options:
- Greyhound Bus
The largest U.S. bus company called Greyhound and operates Miami-Naples route three times a day - the trip takes about 3 hours and costs about $ 35.
- Renting a Car
The car rental is a good option for those who are coming in a large group with several suitcases and a lot of people. Rent a van for all can get a little more expensive, but it is essential to have a car at the beginning for the initial arrangements (search for jobs, homes, social security, etc..). Besides already allow you to pave the Alligator Alley, the nickname Highway I-75, crossing the Florida east to west through the swamp of the Everglades (watch out for alligators!).
2. The City
Naples is a city in southwest Florida, with lots of green area and several hotels for all budgets. In tourism, the place is considered as a 'getaway' winter for celebrities and the elderly, due to the temperature pleasant, quiet, and beautiful scenery of golf and beaches. Among some famous residents, we can cite the director Steven Spielberg and rock-star Bob Seger.
Washed by the Gulf of Mexico, the sea of Naples has the privilege of presenting a turquoise hue found in few places in the world. On the other hand, the region suffers from hurricanes (remember Katrina, Wilma, etc.?). But can rest assured: the season of the phenomena ends in October, before the season of Work Experience.
In his days off options abound for fun. The town beach is beautiful, and you can literally swim with the dolphins. são comuns na cidade e acabam sendo os principais bares tanto para se divertir como para trabalhar. Places like Outback , Applebees and TGI Fridays are common in the city and end up being the main bars both for fun and for work. Of course like any good American city, could not miss Mc Donald's, Burger King, and the usual fast food.
In almost every city you can find small galleries that sell water until seasonings for the kitchen. The most famous are the Publix (supermarket-deli, great place to work too!), Wal-Mart and Target. Depending on where you are is more advantageous to go to Wal-Mart because the prices tend to be lower!
The mall The Coastland Center has multiple stores, such as Macy's and JCPenney anchors, beyond the public's favorite young as Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, Guess, Old Navy, Victoria's Secret, among others. In addition to the opportunity to work in stores, there are excellent award-winning restaurants such as Ruth's Chris Steak House , Ted's Montana Grill , and The Cheese Cake Factory , who are always in need of temporary employees.
