The first annual South Walton Beaches Wine & Food Festival has in Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation (DCWAF) support for children donated $ 30, 000 in northwestern Florida to 14 charities. Study: Florida Reaps $44 Billion Annually From Military

PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) - Florida reaped $44 billion in direct and indirect military spending last year, or 9.8 percent of its gross state product, according to a study released Thursday,
Gov. Jeb Bush touted th... the Florida Panhandle where defense related spending accounts for 34 percent of the gross regional product, the study found. The figures are 18 percent for northeast Florida, 10 percent for central Florida and 4 percent for South Florida.
The study projects the cumulative affect of defense-related spending to reach $448 billion in 2003 dollars over a nine-year period through 2010.
