Now that all other unions are illegal other than "1 man + 1 woman Christian Marriage", many people will be moving out of the state and they have effectively killed the tourism that made South Florida such a great revenue …things... and now their state will suffer a HUGE loss of revenue.

I know that 3 of my Gay friends are moving and I probably won't stick around after I graduate...

What will become of Florida now?

    • You know, 30 years ago people would've laughed in your face if you would've said an African-American by the name of Barack Heussein Obama was going to be President. They would've told you it will never happen.

it takes time to change society. 15 years ago a huge problem was gay-bashing, give the knuckle-draggers time.

  • Avatar Scorpio How do the states that charge no state tax make up the income?
Mar 30, 2008 by Scorpio | Posted in United States

These states are Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming. Seems like I should move to one ot these states, right? Unless there is a catch, like high sales tax on everything you buy? I don't know, is there something I'm missing?

    • They get it through other taxes. Usually it is sales tax. However, there are myriad taxes, gasoline, vehicle sticker, luxury, sin (liquor & tobacco), and Real Estate just to name a few. They all get their money somehow.

Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming don't have income tax. So how do they make up for the revenue they would have generated?

    • Alaska has the kickbacks from the oil industry through the Permanent Investment Fund. Part of the profits are distributed to Alaskans every year, so Alaska has a sort of a negative tax based purely upon head count. (This …get TN and NH. Both have high property taxes. NH property taxes are even higher than TX property taxes. NH also makes money by selling alcoholic beverages in state-owned stores. (Another example of Socialism, by the way.)

With the lousy Culinary courses in my area, and my inability to move very far, I'm pretty much out of luck for becoming a chef unless something amazing happens. I have that FreeCareerInfo book and it has a little bit on …ome things to me like what a Hospitality Manager does, how long you go to school before you major in that field, and where you can get a job? How many places do you work, just one? What do you do when you work? Thanks.
